die musik der great lake swimmers wird vereinzelt auch als „ambient folk“ bezeichnet. ein nicht unbedingt ausdrucksstarker begriff, doch beschreibt er die mischung aus country-pop und den atmosphärischen sound-einlagen recht gut. um nicht sofort bei der aktuellen platte „ongiara“ zuschlagen zu müssen, bietet die band nun eine in toronto aufgenommene live-ep zum download an. ein verlockendes angebot!
